The Damiana Hand-Painted Fayoum Pottery Dessert Plate takes its inspiration from the charming faces, elaborate hairstyles and beautiful jewellery found in ancient Coptic textiles. Naive, joyful and full of personality, Damiana brings a little character to the table. Designed in-house and individually hand-painted in Fayoum by Sarah, each plate bears the marks of her confident, instinctive brushwork. No two faces are ever quite the same: subtle variations in line, expression and colour give every Damiana her own personality. Part tableware, part decorative object, Damiana is just as happy propped on a console, shelf or bedside table as she is serving afternoon tea, dessert or a slice of cake.
